Viwinco is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic for the 3rd shift. This entry-level role involves equipment lubrication, contamination control, inspection, and proactive maintenance activities for all lubricated mechanical systems.
Shift: 11:00 pm - 7:30 am; Sunday-Thursday
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lubricate, clean, and perform minor services on manufacturing machines to maximize performance and minimize downtime.
- Coordinate inventory and routine ordering of products.
- Manage stocking of inventory locations.
- Use tools and equipment for routine and non-routine lubrication tasks.
- Inspect machines and materials, identify issues, and schedule maintenance, including draining and cleaning reservoirs.
- Modify mechanical systems as directed for sampling, filtration, and other improvements.
- Change filters and breathers on reservoirs.
- Relubricate with manual and automatic dispensing equipment.
- Maintain dispensing equipment and automatic systems.
- Label and tag reservoirs, equipment, inventory, and containers.
- Plan and fulfill lubrication activities, update scheduling systems, and request work orders.
- Perform oil analysis, including Crackle, Viscosity, Demulsibility, and Blotter Tests.
- Collect, label, and mail samples for analysis and evaluate results for future maintenance planning.
- Report discrepancies or conditions requiring maintenance or corrective action.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Good communication skills, both oral and written, and strong team-building abilities.
- Ability to work independently effectively.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including lubrication technology instructions and software system instructions.
- Basic mathematical skills for interpreting alarms, calculating inventory, and relubrication quantities.
- Proficiency with software and web-based programs for scheduling and analysis.
- Understanding of lubrication concepts (Viscosity, NLGI, V.I., AW, EP, R&O, ISO Codes, etc.).
- Fundamental knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and circulating systems, contamination control, and maintenance functions.
- Qualified to operate lifting equipment (forklifts, hoists, etc.) and perform lockout-tagout procedures.
- Demonstrated initiative and strong work habits.
