Diesel Mechanic

Position Summary:

The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting, cleaning, inspecting, and maintaining diesel and natural gas-powered trucks.

Your Role:

• Troubleshoot and maintain a fleet of trucks.
• Perform welding tasks.
• Contribute to safety and health improvements in the workplace.
• Participate in company meetings, including weekly safety meetings.
• Maintain punctual attendance in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
• Adapt to changing duties based on business needs.

Your Skills:

• Proficient with vehicle tools such as hand, electric, pneumatic tools, and electronic testing equipment.
• Able to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Capable of reading parts and service manuals.
• Can prepare clear work orders and schedules.
• Able to work in various weather conditions.
• Physically capable of lifting moderate to heavy materials.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Own tools required.
• ASE Certification.
• Demonstrated mechanical skills.
• 2-5 years of experience in transportation.

Desirable but Not Essential:

• CDL B License.
• Tow Motor and Air Brake certifications.
