Qualifications

Position Details

Shift: 3:00pm - 11:00pm, Monday - Friday

Starting Hourly Wage: $38.06/hr

Major Responsibilities

• Fabricate parts by machining, welding, and assembly.
• Study sample parts, blueprints, drawings, and engineering information to determine methods and sequences needed to create products with correct dimensions and tolerances.
• Create machining and fabrication drawings from scratch or based on existing parts.

Additional Responsibilities

Equipment Removal and Installations

• Rig old equipment out and install new equipment according to plant layouts.
• Load and unload plant equipment from trailers.
• Layout equipment installations on shop or plant floors.

HVAC Maintenance

• Maintain, repair, and service HVAC systems, absorption chillers, cooling towers, and chilled water systems.

Industrial Plumbing

• Fabricate and install piping, maintain sprinkler systems, and repair plumbing fixtures.

Boiler Room Operations

• Perform periodic checks and repairs on boilers.

Plant and Utility Systems

• Maintain water, steam, and compressed air systems; rebuild pumps; maintain fire protection and stormwater systems; and oversee waste and sewer systems.

Process Equipment Maintenance

• Maintain and repair various plant equipment including blenders, mills, pumps, and dust collection systems.

Other Duties

• Maintain facility construction equipment and vehicles; perform safety training; handle hazardous chemicals following laws and policies.

Qualifications

• Vocational/high school diploma or equivalent, with at least 5 years of experience as an industrial mechanic.
• Skilled in forklift operation, rigging, welding, and machining.
• Knowledge of mechanical principles, troubleshooting, and reading schematics.
• Proficient in mechanical tools, basic computer skills, and able to work safely following GMP, OSHA, and plant policies.
• Ability to lift, work from heights, and perform physical tasks.
