Job summary

Tate & Lyle is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to support a 24/7 plant operation in Okmulgee, OK. The role requires troubleshooting, repair and preventive maintenance of mechanical equipment across multiple areas.

You will work with pumps, valves, motors and conveyors, reading blueprints and using precision tools in harsh environments and varying shifts. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 2 years of industrial maintenance experience, and the ability to read,

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; minimum 2 years' maintenance experience in an industrial setting.
• Able to read and write; basic math competency.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment across a plant.
• Knowledge of valves, pumps, bearings and rotating equipment preferred.
• Experience with precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers).
• Familiar with blueprints/single-line drawings and maintenance software.

Responsibilities

• Repair, replace and install equipment including pumps, valves, motors and conveyors.
• Disassemble, align, rebuild production equipment such as compressors, turbines and pumps.
• Use micrometers and calipers to repair equipment; operate drill press and grinders.
• Work independently or in teams to install/repair equipment across shifting work areas.
• Stand and move across various surfaces; lift and maneuver components as needed.
• Follow GMP, safety and environmental policies; participate in safety programs.
