Job description

Overview

Immediate opening for a FT Maintenance Mechanic. The position performs mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance on all pieces of industrial equipment in the heat treating shop to ensure a smooth work flow. They also assist with installation on new equipment as well as building maintenance. This position may require the flexibility of working an occasional Saturday as needed.

Responsibilities

• Receive maintenance orders and perform maintenance on items as needed.
• Complete applicable paperwork for repair items.
• Communicate with maintenance vendors as needed.
• Complete requests for tools and materials needed.
• Communicate with shop employees and management on status of equipment.
• Work with outside vendors to achieve repairs or revisions to equipment.
• Complete preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Install new equipment.
• Other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications / Experience

• Pneumatic & hydraulic system knowledge
• Problem solving
• Ability to stand in place, crawl, stoop and lift on a daily basis
• Ability to read blueprints
• Fabricating and welding skills a plus
• Electrical experience/knowledge a plus

Compensation & Benefits

Starting wage range $23-31/hr, 401k match, medical, dental, short-term disability, life insurance, vacation, and holiday pay.
