Job summary

Dowa THT America Inc in Bowling Green, Ohio is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain industrial furnaces, vacuum washers, conveyors, blasting equipment, robotics, and building systems. You will work under the Maintenance Manager, following safety-first practices, performing preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting equipment.

Occasional travel to customer sites and overtime/weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent is required.
• Must read and comprehend electrical and mechanical schematics/blueprints.
• 3+ years maintenance experience in production environment; 1–3 years in temperature controls installation is a plus.

Job description

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for the ongoing maintenance of industrial heat treating furnaces, vacuum washers, conveyor systems, blasting equipment, robotics, and general building maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Approaching all tasks with a safety first mindset, protecting the well being of yourself and your team.
• Optimizing equipment and machinery performance through the maintenance and preventative processes prescribed, with limited a fair level of autonomy.
• Partnering with the production team to address and quickly respond to equipment failures and problem resolution.
• Provide support to field engineering services for installation and maintenance at customer sites.
• Facilitate continuous improvement through the implementation of best practices.
• Machine troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Metal fabrication/welding/Pipe fitting.
• Occasional travel to support field customer locations.

Hours and Compensation

Hours are 500 am to 130 pm with some flexibility. There is a $1.25/hr shift differential for all hours worked between 5 pm and 5 am. Some overtime as needed. There will be occasional travel to customer locations as required. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• A high school education or equivalent.
• Able to read and comprehend schematics and blueprints; electrical and mechanical.
• 1-3 years experience with functionality/programming in installation of temperature controls a plus.
• Welding experience is a plus.
• Ability and willingness to work OT and weekends, as needed.
• Ability to perform occasional heavy lifting, repetitive motion bending and stretching, and standing.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion, with assistance.
• Solid mechanical and or electrical working knowledge required.
• A minimum of 3 years maintenance experience with machinery in a production environment.

Benefits

Starting rate is from $32+/hr. Higher rates would depend upon experience. Benefits package includes a zero deductible health care plan, dental, vision, short and long term disability, 401(k), PTO.
