Job summary

PABCO Gypsum in Newark, CA is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to perform routine and scheduled maintenance on process equipment, troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and complete fabrication work to maximize uptime. The ideal candidate will be safety-minded, maintain a clean, organized, and productive work environment, and have at least two years of related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two or more years related experience and/or training.
• Regular attendance is required.
• Lift and/or move 60 pounds and more.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and scheduled maintenance on process equipment to maximize uptime.
• Troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Fabrication as needed.
• Perform inventory existing parts and report use for reorder.
• Maintain work area according to plant safety and cleanliness standards.
• Abides by all safety rules and report hazards.
• All other tasks and/or responsibilities as assigned.

Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

The Newark, CA plant is currently accepting applications for an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic . This position is responsible for performing routine and scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting pneumatic and hydraulic systems, completing fabrication work, and maintaining equipment to maximize uptime. The ideal candidate is safety-minded and committed to maintaining a clean, organized, and productive work environment.

What is the Pay?

Salary depends on experience with a range of $73,000 - $115,000 per year.

What is the Job?

• Understanding and knowledge of complex, pneumatic and/or hydraulic processes.
• Perform routine and schedule maintenance on process equipment to maintain uptime.
• Fabrication as needed.
• Perform inventory existing parts and report use for reorder.
• Maintain work area according to plant standard for safety, efficiency and cleanliness.
• Abides by all safety rules set forth by company and government regulatory agencies and ensure that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
• All other tasks and/or responsibilities as assigned.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Two (2) or more years related experience and/or training.
• Regular attendance is required.
• Lift and/or move 60 pounds and more.

What is the Work Schedule?

• Must have open availability and weekend availability.
• Probability of Call-In, Overtime, and Nights / Weekends.
• Typically, the shift is 6 AM - 2:30 PM but in the event of long projects or emergencies, we may require longer shifts.
