Job summary

PABCO Building Products LLC, Newark, CA, is seeking an entry-level Industrial Electrician. You will assist in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical and simple mechanical equipment in a fast-paced plant environment.

The role requires reading blueprints, wiring, and control design, with capabili­ties in pneumatic/hydraulic systems and welding. Open to extended hours and urgent repairs, safety adherence is essential.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Two (2) or more years of related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic schematics.
• Willingness to work extended hours and respond to urgent repairs when needed.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in troubleshooting and repairing all electrical and simple mechanical and instrumental equipment.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
• Assisting in designing and assembling motor starters and electrical controls.
• Working with pneumatic, hydraulic, and AC Drive systems.
• Running conduit, pulling wire, and making solid connections.
• Performing some welding.
• Assisting in troubleshooting PLC and AC Drive systems.
• Works extended hours and responds to repair calls at any hour of the day to keep the mill in operation.
• Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Maintain work area per plant standard for safety, efficiency, and cleanliness.
• Attend safety meetings and abide by all safety rules set forth by the company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensure that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
• All other tasks and/or responsibilities as assigned.

Industrial Electrician

The Newark, CA plant is currently accepting applications for an entry-level Industrial Electrician. This position is responsible for assisting in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical and mechanical equipment. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, technically proficient, takes initiative, and able to respond effectively to equipment issues in a fast-paced industrial environment.

What is the pay?

• Wage offered depends on experience. This is an hourly position and with overtime has the potential to earn: $73,000 - $115,000 / year.

What is the Work Schedule?

• Must have open availability and weekend availability.
• Probability of Call-In, Overtime, and Nights / Weekends.
• Typically, the shift is 6 AM - 2:30 PM but in the event of long projects or emergencies, we may require longer shifts.
