Job summary

OmniSource in the Memphis area is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to keep production lines running by performing preventative and corrective maintenance on stationary and mobile equipment. You will troubleshoot malfunctions, respond to emergencies, assist with utility and equipment installation, and uphold strict safety standards while reading schematics and welding as needed.

Candidates must be proficient with electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems and have experience with PLCs;

Qualifications

• Experience with electrical, hydraulic and mechanical repairs.
• Proficient in reading schematics, hydraulics, and pneumatic diagrams.
• Arc welding with stick and MIG abilities.
• Ability to troubleshoot without supervision.
• Understanding of programmable logic controllers.
• Ability to operate maintenance vehicles safely.
• Experience with three-phase and single-phase electrical repairs.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
• React to emergency breakdowns.
• Perform needed facility repairs.

• Proficient in comprehending schematics, hydraulics, and pneumatic diagrams, mechanical blueprints, welding, and fabricating skills.
• Must be able to operate maintenance vehicles and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Extensive experience in three phase and single phase electrical repairs.
• Must be able to perform advanced electrical repairs.
• Must be able to arc weld with stick and mig abilities.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical repairs without direct supervision.
• Must have working understanding of programmable logistic controllers.
