Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Mechanic for a heavy manufacturing client in Kentucky. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial machines, using diagrams, blueprints, and manuals to install and align equipment.

You will perform scheduled inspections, set up and operate fabrication tools, and work from layout drawings to support reliability and uptime across facilities. Experience reading schematics, and working with diesel and electrical systems is preferred;

Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical maintenance skills in industrial settings.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and layouts.
• Experience with diesel and electrical systems and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on production machines per manuals and drawings.
• Troubleshoot mechanical malfunctions using gauges and testing instruments.
• Dismantle, move, assemble, and install industrial machinery; weld and torch as needed.
