Superior Skilled Trades is actively hiring a Maintenance Mechanic in Hackettstown, NJ for a direct, full-time on-site role. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial food manufacturing equipment to support safe, efficient plant operations.

Pay ranges from $23 to $37 per hour with a Monday–Friday 3pm–1am schedule. The position requires 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience and hands-on repair of processing and packaging equipment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience in food, beverage, or CPG manufacturing.
• Hands-on troubleshooting and repair of industrial processing and packaging equipment.
• Ability to read equipment manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Forklift certification is a plus or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on fryers, packaging equipment, conveyors, and other production machinery.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems.
• Maintain loading dock equipment, forklifts, pallet jacks, motors, bearings, belts, gearboxes, and lubrication systems.
• Complete and document preventive maintenance activities and respond quickly to equipment breakdowns.
• Identify potential equipment issues and take proactive steps to prevent downtime.
• Work closely with Production, QA, and approved outside vendors.
• Assist with equipment selection, installation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Follow all safety, GMP, SQF, and USDA requirements.

Superior Skilled Trades is hiring for a direct opportunity with a client in Hackettstown, NJ. We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial food manufacturing equipment while supporting safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations.

Pay: $23 - $37

Schedule: Monday – Friday 3pm – 1am

Responsibilities

• Basic electrical troubleshooting skills are a plus.
• Ability to read equipment manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Basic welding/fabrication experience is a plus.
• Forklift certification is a plus, or willingness to obtain one.
• Strong communication, organization, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
