Job summary

Electric Coil (NEC) in Columbus, OH, seeks an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to support rotor balancing and generator repair, layout and operate machine tools, dismantle and reassemble power equipment. You will troubleshoot, fabricate, and maintain motors, pumps, hydraulics, and gear systems, reading blueprints and ensuring safety in a challenging plant environment.

The role is full-time, non-exempt, with shifts that may include overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5 years verifiable on-the-job experience as a maintenance machinist or two years post-secondary plus two years experience.
• Must pass background check and drug testing.
• Ability to work second or third shift including overtime.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe, clean work environment and follow safety protocols.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Fabricate components for repair or replacement.
• Read blueprints and interpret schematics for maintenance work.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with engineering and production for upgrades.
