Job summary

Loparex in Malvern, PA, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic-Machinist to perform equipment maintenance, adjustments, troubleshooting, repairs and installations for our blown film manufacturing facility. The role requires following safety rules, reading prints, and performing preventive maintenance to ensure continuous operation.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in a machine shop environment, can read prints and diagrams, and is skilled in welding and fabrication.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of proven experience in standard machine shop equipment such as lathes, mills, grinders and drills in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to machine and assemble parts from prints, sketches and samples to reasonable tolerances.
• Experience in repair, adjustment and modification of production equipment.
• Ability to diagnose and correct mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic malfunctions.
• Ability to read and use precision measuring tools and gauges.
• Capable of welding and fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow safety and environmental requirements.
• Perform bench and manufacturing floor work from prints to layout and machine parts.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical malfunctions as directed.
• Maintain, repair and adjust plant equipment to support continuous operation.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and facilities.
• Provide documentation of completed repairs and keep workspace safe and organized.
