Job summary

Oil-Dri Corporation of Georgia is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic Journeyman to maintain and repair packaging, processing and plant structures. The role requires hands-on maintenance expertise in a fast-paced industrial setting.

You will diagnose failures, perform PMs, weld with Stick and MIG, handle pipefitting, electrical repairs up to 500 hp, read blueprints, and document work in the CMMS. A 3–5 year track record and strong safety practices are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of related industrial maintenance experience.
• Able to read SOPs and manuals.
• Able to read and understand shop manuals, diagrams and blueprints.
• Willingness to attend classes to enhance mechanical skills.
• Basic industrial electricity knowledge.
• Good oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess machinery failures and perform repairs.
• Perform preventative maintenance (PM) as assigned through the PM program.
• Weld using Stick and MIG; cut with oxy-acetylene.
• Fabricate plant components such as guards and handrails.
• Pipefitting and related work installing or repairing pipes.
• Electrical repairs up to 500 hp; replace starters and motors.
• Document repairs in CMMS and provide feedback to planners.
