Tyson Foods, Inc. is hiring Maintenance Generalists for the 3rd shift (10:30 PM–7:30 AM) with a $5,000 sign-on bonus.
You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment, troubleshoot issues, and minimize downtime while collaborating with plant personnel. Hours for this position: 3rd shift 10:30 to 7:30 rotating schedule 3 day weekend every 5 weeks.
You will earn an extra $2.75 per hour for working the specified schedule.
The starting salary ranges from $26.20 to $37.45 per hour, depending on the skills and experience as assessed by the hiring manager. There is also a chance to elevate your pay by advancing to the next skill level through testing.
Physical Requirements: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills necessary for logging information, processing daily work orders, and completing required documentation. Ability to learn and utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Communication Skills: Effective communication and basic math skills required. Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs. occasionally; ability to lift 20 lbs. frequently. Ability to stand on a hard surface for up to 12 hours per day. Ability to work in confined and tall spaces, walk, climb, utilize a ladder, operate a lift, bend, and stoop. Repetitive gripping, pushing, and pulling. Frequent overhead work. Temperatures inside the plant may vary from -25 degrees to over 100 degrees; outside work may also be needed. Basic math skills, including percentages, fractions, and measurements. Read and understand blueprints, manuals and work orders.
Applicants will be considered for, General Maintenance level openings. Leveling is determined during the interview process based on skillset, knowledge, and experience. Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 90 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.
