Hours for this position: 3rd shift 10:30 to 7:30 rotating schedule 3 day weekend every 5 weeks. You will earn an extra $2.75 per hour for working the specified schedule. The starting salary ranges from $26.20 to $37.45 per hour, depending on the skills and experience as assessed by the hiring manager. There is also a chance to elevate your pay by advancing to the next skill level through testing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Include, but are not limited to the following)

• Provide maintenance support with moderate supervision to ensure the safe and effective operation of equipment and team.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance repairs on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic plant equipment.
• Conduct emergency mechanical or electrical repairs as needed.
• Troubleshoot issues related to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
• Safely apply knowledge and troubleshooting skills to all assigned production equipment.
• Effectively interact with all plant personnel to accomplish plant and individual goals.
• Minimize downtime due to equipment failure.
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Must be able and willing to furnish your own tools.

REQUIREMENTS: Education and Experience

Minimum 2 years of mechanic work experience documented in the work history section of the application or be a graduate of and industrial maintenance training program. (Can be a combination of employers as long as experience is at least 2 years).

SPECIAL SKILLS

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills necessary for logging information, processing daily work orders, and completing required documentation. Ability to learn and utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Communication Skills: Effective communication and basic math skills required. Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs. occasionally; ability to lift 20 lbs. frequently. Ability to stand on a hard surface for up to 12 hours per day. Ability to work in confined and tall spaces, walk, climb, utilize a ladder, operate a lift, bend, and stoop. Repetitive gripping, pushing, and pulling. Frequent overhead work. Temperatures inside the plant may vary from -25 degrees to over 100 degrees; outside work may also be needed. Basic math skills, including percentages, fractions, and measurements. Read and understand blueprints, manuals and work orders.
