Placements24 is assisting a manufacturing client in Queenstown, Eastern Cape, to recruit an experienced Industrial Maintenance Fitter. The role focuses on maintenance, repair, and installation of industrial machinery to ensure safety and uptime.

You will diagnose faults, perform routine maintenance, and service gearboxes, pumps, hydraulics, and conveyors while following strict safety standards. Applicants should have proven mechanical maintenance experience, read and interpret drawings, and

Qualifications

Proven experience as an Industrial Maintenance Fitter or similar role.
Strong mechanical knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics.
Experience with welding, fabrication, and general fitting tasks.
Commitment to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

Perform routine mechanical maintenance and inspections on industrial machinery.
Diagnose and repair mechanical faults including hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes and conveyor systems.
Install new machinery and equipment with proper alignment.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and parts used.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime.
