Job summary

Benjamin Moore is seeking an experienced maintenance engineer to support the factory in Alaska. You will perform reactive and preventive maintenance, drive improvements, and ensure uptime across production equipment in a GMP environment.

The role requires 5+ years of engineering experience, 16th/18th edition qualifications, and NVQ3+ in Electrical/Mechanical. Strong problem-solving and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience.
• GMP-regulated environment experience preferred.
• 16th/18th edition certification required.
• NVQ Level 3 or higher in Electrical/Mechanical; HNC/HND helpful.
• IOSH, IPAF training considered a plus.
• Experience with three-phase motor drives and production equipment.
• PLC fault-finding experience.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Reactive and proactive site maintenance to high standards.
• Liaise with management on works in progress.
• Manage maintenance work orders across departments to regulatory standards.
• Perform day-to-day routine and preventive maintenance.
• Respond promptly to maintenance calls across departments.
• Prioritise issues and delegate tasks as needed.
• Attend plant breakdowns and repair equipment.
• Test, troubleshoot and repair filling equipment, tanks and conveyors.
• Carry out PUWER risk assessments for equipment.
• Spare parts stock monitoring and control.
