Job summary

California Dairies, Inc. (CDI) is seeking a site maintenance mechanic at our Tipton facility in California to repair and maintain production and support equipment across the plant.

You will operate safely within GMP and SQF policies, participate in emergency response, and ensure timely completion of work orders. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least four years of journey-level experience, with certification such as forklift license and first responder being an asset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum four years’ journey-level experience.
• English language proficiency required.
• Forklift operator license and first responder certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain all production equipment (pumps, pasteurizers, evaporators, etc.).
• Repair support equipment (boilers, compressors, storage units, etc.).
• Be an active part of the emergency response team and safety programs.
• Handle chemicals for equipment operation and test water samples.
• Daily utilities readings and inventory management for parts.
• Fabricate and install piping, sanitary and process lines per safety regs.
• Maintain plant records and work orders with proper documentation.
