Job summary

Wheatland Tube, LLC in Rochelle, IL is seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to keep our tube mill production equipment running at peak quality, uptime, and efficiency. You will troubleshoot and repair PLCs, VFDs, sensors, and motors, read electrical and mechanical prints, and perform preventive maintenance in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

This role requires 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing, strong problem solving, independent work ethic, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance electrician experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of PLCs, especially Allen Bradley systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and program Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
• Proficient in reading electrical and mechanical prints.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains knowledge of process, equipment, controls, and storeroom areas.
• Maintains and troubleshoots equipment including PLCs, VFDs, sensors, and motors.
• Performs preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
• Uses CMMS and electrical prints to perform troubleshooting and recordkeeping.
• Interfaces with operations and engineers to ensure timely repairs.
