Job summary

Nucor Steel Brandenburg is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join our plant on the Ohio River. The role requires diagnosing, repairing, or replacing components within complex electrical control systems, including PLCs and VFDs, across rotating shifts and overtime as needed.

Candidates should have a fundamental understanding of electrical theory and 3+ years in industrial electrical maintenance, with experience in low-voltage motors, PLCs, instrumentation, and process control devices.

Qualifications

• Fundamental understanding of electrical theory.
• Experience troubleshooting low-voltage (<600VAC) motors and controllers.
• Experience troubleshooting PLCs, instrumentation, process control devices, and VFDs.
• 3+ years’ experience in industrial or military electrical maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, or replace components within electrical control systems.
• Navigate PLC programs, drive configurations, and industrial networks during troubleshooting.
• Work weekends, holidays, rotating shifts, and overtime as required.
• Maintain safety policies and housekeeping standards at all times.
