Job summary

Nucor Steel Brandenburg is hiring a Maintenance Electrician to join our plate mill operations. You will diagnose, repair, and replace components within complex electrical control systems, navigate PLCs, drives, and industrial networks, and support safety-first culture on rotating shifts and overtime.

Minimum qualifications include understanding electrical theory and experience with low voltage systems, PLCs, and process control devices.

Qualifications

Basic Job Functions

The role of the Maintenance Electrician is to be a great Nucor team member who demonstrates high levels of honesty, integrity, and ownership in everything they do. Additionally, the selected candidate must demonstrate the ability to diagnose, repair, or replace components within complex electrical control systems. This includes having the necessary skills to navigate PLC programs, drive configurations, and industrial communication networks throughout the troubleshooting process. The Maintenance Electrical Technician will work weekends, holidays, rotating shifts, scheduled and unscheduled overtime. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
