Job summary

Kemps is seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to support electrical maintenance across plant utilities and production systems. This role installs, maintains, and repairs electrical components on industrial equipment in accordance with electrical codes, schematics, and specifications.

The ideal candidate will guide less experienced team members and contribute to continuous improvement. The position is on first shift with a rotating schedule in Wisconsin.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Trade or technical school program in related discipline preferred.
• 2–4 years of electrical maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Journeyman electrician license or applicable local certification required; master electrician license preferred.
• Experience with PLCs, DCS, and automation systems.
• Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
• Strong safety and GMP awareness.

Responsibilities

• Program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLCs and DCS.
• Install and support electrical systems for new equipment (120V, 240V, 480V).
• Troubleshoot plant automation down to component level.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems.
• Train production operators to reduce downtime.
• Interpret schematics, blueprints, and service manuals.
• Utilize CMMS (SAP) to document maintenance.
• Maintain a safe work environment and follow GMP.
