Job summary

Kemps is seeking a Maintenance Electrician in Cedarburg, WI to maintain plant utilities and production systems. You will install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical components on industrial equipment following codes and schematics.

The role includes PLC/DCS troubleshooting, supporting new equipment, preventive maintenance, and mentoring junior technicians. 2–4 years of electrical maintenance in manufacturing and a HS diploma are preferred; SAP CMMS familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

HS diploma or equivalent
Trade/technical school preferred
2–4 years electrical maintenance experience in manufacturing, including automation

Responsibilities

Program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLCs, DCS, and interlocks
Install and support electrical systems for new equipment (120V, 240V, 480V) including panels and controls
Troubleshoot plant automation down to component level (0–10V, 4–20 mA)
Perform electrical maintenance: replace breakers, fuses, and VFDs
Service frequency drives, contactors, switches, and wiring
Interpret schematics, blueprints, and service manuals to complete tasks
Perform preventive maintenance on distribution systems and motor control centers
Support production operators with troubleshooting and basic training
Communicate with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency
Stay current on new technologies and industry best practices
Identify and support process improvements and reliability initiatives
Manage parts needs and procurement procedures for scheduled work
Document maintenance in CMMS (e.g., SAP)
Maintain safety and GMP compliance
