Job summary

Farrar Corporation is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Electrician for our Norwich, KS facility on the 2nd shift. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing plant equipment, drives, PLCs, and control systems to ensure continuous production.

On-site responsibilities include troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and coordinating major repair projects. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, plus an accredited maintenance apprenticeship or technical training with 5+

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Accredited maintenance apprenticeship or two years’ technical training with two plus years’ industrial electrician experience preferred.
Five plus years’ industrial electrician experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret manuals, work orders, drawings, and schematics to perform maintenance
Identify required parts from equipment drawings
Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot plant and mobile equipment problems
Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on plant equipment
Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems and control panels
Record maintenance activities, parts used, and inspections
Repair electrical systems, wiring, and components for production environments
Test systems with voltmeters and ohmmeters
Lead major repair projects and coordinate with team/contractors
May fill in for Maintenance Supervisor during absences
Utilize computer systems to locate inventory and process work orders
PLC troubleshooting experience particularly Allen Bradley
Work with three-phase and single-phase 120/240/480V systems
Operate forklifts and other equipment safely
