Job summary

Farrar Corporation is seeking a skilled Foundry Equipment Mechanic to join our team in Norwich, KS. This on-site role covers the 3rd shift (11:00p – 7:30a) and involves maintaining and repairing furnaces, molding equipment, conveyors, and cooling systems to ensure production uptime.

The successful candidate will have 3+ years of foundry or manufacturing mechanical experience, strong knowledge of mechanical/hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and the ability to read schematics and manuals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred.
• 3+ years of experience as a mechanic, preferably in a manufacturing or foundry environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair foundry machinery including furnaces, molding equipment, conveyors, and cooling systems.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and implement corrective actions to restore equipment to proper working condition.
• Perform preventive maintenance on foundry equipment to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
• Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities with minimal impact on operations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and parts used.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations while working on machinery.
