The Industrial Maintenance Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in a food processing plant. This role ensures all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
Electrical Maintenance & Troubleshooting
  • Diagnose and repair electrical issues on production equipment
  • Troubleshoot PLC systems, motor controls, VFDs, sensors, and control panels
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance
  • Read and interpret schematics and manuals
  • Install and wire new equipment and control panels
  • Assist with upgrades and automation improvements
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes
Food Safety & Compliance
  • Follow GMP and sanitation requirements
  • Prevent contamination risks during maintenance
  • Support OSHA and FDA compliance
Safety
  • Follow LOTO procedures
  • Identify unsafe conditions
  • Participate in safety audits
Documentation
  • Complete work orders and logs
  • Document repairs and maintenance
  • Assist in root cause analysis
  • Work with production, sanitation, and quality teams
  • Support startups and minimize downtime
