Tyson Foods in Council Bluffs, IA is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, maintain and repair plant equipment while upholding safety and Tyson policies. The role focuses on preventative maintenance, setting up and breaking down production line machinery, and documenting activities in SAP.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of industrial maintenance experience within the last 12 months or US-based maintenance certification; willingness to work overtime and all shifts

Job Details: Job Description Description

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Tasks

Applicants will be considered for any industrial maintenance opening on any evening or overnight shift. Applicant must be willing to work overtime and weekends if required. Industrial Maintenance positions are responsible for preventative maintenance and repair of equipment to maintain continuous production. Applicant must be able to set up, adjust and break down production line machinery. Must be able to complete computerized training programs and use Tyson SAP software to document completion details of preventative maintenance routines as scheduled by the supervisor. Must be able to read and write where required. Must be able to use math as needed to make work related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a daily basis and be able to stand for up to 12 hours. Applicant must be willing to complete all required training for the job.

Requirements

Applicant must have one year of Industrial Maintenance experience within the last twelve months with same employer or was attending U.S. based technical school within the last twelve months to be considered for this position. US based certification related to maintenance will be considered in lieu of industrial maintenance work experience. (Janitorial work and painting do not meet the industrial maintenance work experience).

Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 180 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.
