Job summary

Vari-Form Manufacturing Inc. is offering a Maintenance Technician Apprentice program designed to build hands-on skills through on-the-job training and technical instruction.

Under the guidance of experienced technicians, you’ll assist with installation, inspection, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment and facility systems. You will learn to work safely, document work orders, and progressively take on more maintenance responsibilities as knowledge grows.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in industrial maintenance or a skilled trade.
• Willingness and ability to learn mechanical, electrical, and general maintenance skills through on-the-job training and technical instruction.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and analytical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Assist experienced maintenance technicians with preventative maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, installation, and repairs of production equipment and facility systems.
• Learn to perform preventative maintenance in accordance with established schedules, procedures, and equipment manuals.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, work orders, technical documents, and maintenance instructions.
• Develop proficiency in the safe use of hand tools, power tools, electrical meters, and material-handling equipment.
• Complete required maintenance records, work orders, inspection forms, and other departmental documentation accurately and on time.
