Job summary

Martin’s is seeking a Maintenance Apprentice to gain hands-on experience in industrial maintenance at a food manufacturing plant. The program blends training, general labor tasks, and close work with experienced technicians and trainers, culminating in a broad understanding of typical maintenance tasks.

Participants will rotate through PLC, electrical, HVAC, and planning topics, with extensive on-the-job and classroom training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required; some maintenance training is preferred.
• 2-5 years of mechanical training or maintenance experience requested.
• Industrial Maintenance knowledge and hands-on familiarity are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to safety, food safety, and GMP regulations and communicates concerns to maintenance leaders.
• Works effectively with team members and maintains shop and work areas.
• Communicates task assignments and completions to supervisor or trainer.
• Assists with scheduled down days to service equipment and gain experience.
• Maintains tools and machinery in good condition and uses them properly.
• Keeps and updates the training record book throughout the apprenticeship.
