Job summary

Gordon Food Service is seeking a Level 1 Technician (Apprentice) to support maintenance across distribution centers. You will assist with preventative maintenance, diagnose equipment issues, and perform repairs using standard tools and basic electrical skills.

Role requires High School or equivalent, willingness to learn Honeywell Level 1 requirements, and adherence to safety guidelines. This entry-level position offers mentorship and growth within our maintenance team at multiple facilities.

Qualifications

• Level 1 Technician (Apprentice)
• Ability to perform basic PM's after being shown once
• Knowledge of safe use of hand tools and basic electrical skills
• Ability to read simple wiring diagrams and use a meter for continuity

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance on building equipment and systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Observes mechanical devices in operation, performs diagnostic routines and troubleshoots to locate root cause of problems.
• Performs electrical diagnostics on equipment and makes necessary repairs based on the diagnosis.
• Dismantles devices to access and remove defective parts using hoists, hand and power tools.
• Maintains a maintenance shop and orderly tool storage.
