Job summary

Gordon Food Service seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance on distribution center equipment and building systems. You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, use meters and hand tools, and complete work orders with leadership oversight.

Qualifications

• Level 1 Technician supervision with daily floor oversight and strict inspection.
• Mentorship requires a peer mentor from Level 2 or higher.
• Honeywell Level 1 e-learning must be completed within 12 months for external hires.
• Proven initiative and commitment to safe work practices.
• Basic mechanical skills and safe use of hand tools required.
• Ability to perform basic PMs after demonstration; basic electrical skills and meter use.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on building equipment and systems.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and implement repairs.
• Dismantle devices to access defective parts using hoists and tools.
• Maintain a clean, organized maintenance shop and tool rooms.
• Complete work orders within assigned timeframes and track PMs.
• Manage inventory levels of material handling equipment.
• Log maintenance in Maximo CMMS and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Adhere to organizational mission and safety culture.
