Job summary

PrideStaff, Inc. is seeking an Industrial Machinist to support a plastics manufacturing facility.

You will set up, operate, and maintain conventional and CNC machine tools to fabricate, modify, and repair precision metal components, molds, dies, and machinery parts used in plastic processing. You will read blueprints and GD&T specifications, fabricate to tight tolerances, and perform precision measurements.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent vocational training. Apprenticeship or trade/technical degree preferred.
• Experience: 3+ years of machinist experience in industrial manufacturing (plastics tooling preferred).
• Technical Proficiency: Manual machining (lathe, mill, grinder) and CNC controls; GD&T proficiency.
• Ability to read complex engineering drawings and understands GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual and CNC machinery (mills, lathes, grinders, drills, bandsaws, EDM).
• Read and interpret blueprints, CAD/CAM models, and GD&T specs.
• Fabricate replacement parts and tooling to tight tolerances (±0.001).
• Perform precision measurements with micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and CMMs.
• Repair and maintain molds, dies, and tooling; perform preventative maintenance.
