Job summary

Gorbel, Inc. in Goodyear, AZ is hiring a Machine Operator responsible for cutting and drilling steel and aluminum components per drawings, using an overhead crane to move material and stage for the next operation.

You will follow job orders, measure and layout to blueprints, perform machine setups, inspect work to meet specs, and assist with loading/unloading materials, while adhering to safety protocols including fall protection.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• Must pass truck and crane certifications on hire.
• Computer skills including Windows, Word and Excel.
• Able to read tape measures and blueprints.
• Able to communicate effectively with supervision.

Responsibilities

• Follow job orders to specifications.
• Cut steel material utilizing a variety of industrial saws.
• Measure and layout according to blueprint utilizing drill presses and automated drilling machines.
• Responsible for machine set-ups, operations and maintenance to meet production demands.
• Inspection and documentation of work to meet specifications.
• Assist in the loading and unloading of raw materials of various weights and lengths.
• Proper use of forklift, pallet jacks, overhead cranes and fall arrest system.
• All other duties as assigned by management.
