Job summary

Staffing Agency is seeking a skilled machine builder to join our team and contribute to the assembly and integration of custom automated machinery. You will read engineering drawings, install mechanical systems, and troubleshoot during startup to ensure proper functionality.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in machine building, can read mechanical and electrical drawings, and is willing to travel up to 25% to client sites. Onsite work is required five days a week with 1st or 2nd shift options.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in machine building or mechanical assembly.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings and documents.
• Travel up to 25% to client sites; onsite 5 days/week; 1st or 2nd shift.

Responsibilities

• Assemble custom automated machinery and subassemblies per drawings and BOMs.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, CAD drawings, and work instructions.
• Install and align mechanical systems including conveyors, pneumatics, actuators, and frames.
• Perform drilling, tapping, and general fabrication as needed.
• Assist with integration of electrical components such as sensors, motors, and control panels.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues during assembly, testing, and startup.
• Support machine testing, debugging, and validation for proper function.
• Collaborate with engineers, electricians, and technicians to meet build specs and deadlines.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Provide feedback for continuous improvement in build processes.
