Job summary

Compass Minerals is seeking a Lubrication Technician to perform routine lubrication of equipment, sample reservoirs, and maintain lubrication logs in a heavy industrial setting. You will ensure safe operation, inspect belts and bearings, and assist with preventative maintenance while following all safety procedures.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Proficiency with Excel/Word/Outlook/Access and a background in lubrication are advantageous in our Utah operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• Experience around production machinery in heavy industrial/manufacturing facilities preferred.
• Background or education in lubrication is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine lubrication of equipment in assigned areas.
• Conducts routine sampling of lubrication reservoirs.
• Fills oil cans and dispensers with proper lubricants.
• Inspects lubrication equipment for satisfactory operation.
• Changes oil in reservoirs and replaces oil filters.
• Maintains lubrication logs and records.
• Follows safety procedures.
• Performs miscellaneous tasks such as sweeping and painting equipment.
• Visually inspects belts and monitors bearing temperatures.
• Reports problems to the control room and logs entries.
• Follows safety and housekeeping rules.
