Job summary

Roseburg Forest Products is seeking a maintenance technician to sustain continuous operation of plant machinery, motors and vehicles. You will monitor equipment condition, perform lubrication and preventive maintenance, and ensure safe work practices across the facility.

Role requires comfort with confined or elevated work areas, basic hand tools, and effective communication with maintenance teams and supervisors.

Qualifications

Must be willing to work weekends and holidays as requested.
Decisive, craftsman mindset, and able to maintain a clean work environment.
Must have basic hand tools and be able to use them properly.
Learn and practice safe cutting and welding practices.
Communicate effectively with maintenance personnel, supervisors and operators.
Develop good troubleshooting skills on machinery.
Complete all assigned PMs on time.
Capable of working in elevated and confined areas.

Responsibilities

Maintain run of machine, motors and vehicles; monitor condition of machinery.
Oil and lubricate equipment throughout facility to ensure reliability.
Perform maintenance tasks safely in confined spaces, on ladders or elevated areas.
Install bearings and oiling systems; service oil and grease lines as needed.
Practice preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and keep operations smooth.
