Job summary

Saronic Technologies is seeking an Industrial Engineer to design and validate the shipyard's physical manufacturing system, including layouts, footprint definitions, and capacity models. The role focuses on supporting throughput, block construction, and automation-ready processes.

You will collaborate with design, operations, and finance teams to optimize material flow, reduce bottlenecks, and ensure safe, efficient production within advanced shipyard environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IE/Manufacturing/Systems or similar.
• 5+ years in industrial facility layout or manufacturing system design.
• Strong understanding of material flow optimization and bottleneck analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end shipyard layouts based on throughput, product mix, and block construction strategy.
• Define building footprints, clear heights, bay sizing, and crane coverage.
• Establish square footage requirements for panel fabrication, sub-assembly, block assembly, and pre-outfitting.
• Develop capacity and throughput models.
• Ensure layouts support automation-first processes.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and finance.
