Job summary

Colonial Group in Memphis operates an industrial laundry facility and seeks a dependable team member to ensure safe, expeditious, and accurate handling of merchandise into and out of the plant.

You will verify safety devices, load washer/dryer, manage batch tickets, monitor moisture and temperatures, and help keep a clean, safe work environment. Shift work may include weekends and overtime.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand training, written, and verbal instructions.
• Working knowledge of basic math skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to meet attendance schedule.

Responsibilities

• Check all machine safety devices before operating equipment and record signatures on safety forms.
• Load washers and dryers, manage slings and batch tickets, and stage batches for efficiency.
• Enter weight information and batch data on machine forms and tickets.
• Monitor moisture levels, temperature, and proper cooling of items.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and follow production best practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
