Job summary

Vestis® Topeka, KS is seeking a warehouse associate for our industrial laundry facility. You will perform work as part of a team and be responsible for the safe, expeditious, and accurate handling of merchandise into and out of the laundry.

Responsibilities include staging carts, folding linen and towels, verifying quantity, placing bundles in storage, and maintaining a safe, clean work environment. Overtime and weekend work may be required based on production needs.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand training, written and verbal instructions.
• Working knowledge of basic math.
• Good verbal and/or written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to meet attendance schedule.

Responsibilities

• Stages cart in lift table, secures safety chain, and raises the table.
• Folds linen, aprons, towels, table napkins, and/or fender/seat covers.
• Identifies and segregates merchandise not meeting quality standards (rips, tears, holes, stains).
• Accurately verifies merchandise quantity and bundles by type.
• Places bundles in storage bins, carts, or on shelves.
• Maneuvers full and empty baskets.
• Maintains safe and clean work environment and observes production best practices.
• Other duties as assigned.
