Job summary

Vestis Corporation in Topeka, KS is seeking a hardworking laundry associate to join our industrial facility team. You will handle merchandise safely, operate washing and drying equipment, and ensure accurate batch handling.

This role requires strong teamwork, reliable attendance, basic math, and the ability to follow detailed safety procedures. High school diploma preferred; training provided.

Shifts may include weekends; physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs and handling equipment safely.

Qualifications

Ability to understand all required training, written, and verbal instructions.
Working knowledge of basic math skills.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to meet attendance schedule.

Responsibilities

Checks machine safety devices before operating equipment and records safety forms.
Loads and unloads washer/dryer, records batch information, and groups similar batches.
Ensures proper moisture levels and temperature, and verifies batch tickets.
Identifies torn slings and removes them from the system.
Maintains safe and clean work environment and follows production best practices.
Performs other duties as assigned.
