Job summary

Austin Industries, Inc. is seeking a General Laborer for its Decatur, IL location. This full-time position involves performing labor-intensive tasks under supervision, handling materials, and maintaining a safe, organized job site in an industrial environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ months experience in an industrial setting preferred.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States. Austin Industrial is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor.
• Shovel bituminous concrete (asphalt) or other material into construction area.
• Assist in patching asphalt with hot and cold mix. Excavate and fills trenches and ditches.
• Maintain a clean job site: pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day to eliminate hazards.
• Load and unload trucks and haul and hoist materials.
• Follow safety procedures and report incidents to Foreman or Safety personnel.
