Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a dependable laborer to perform diverse manual tasks in an industrial setting under supervision. You will assist with site preparation, material handling, digging, patching asphalt, and operating hand and power tools to support our maintenance and construction projects.

This full-time role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and adherence to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform strenuous manual tasks in an industrial setting.
• Some knowledge of safety precautions and first aid is preferred.
• Ability to read and follow written and oral instructions.
• Capability to work under supervision and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor, including lifting 25+ lbs, bending, kneeling, climbing, and heat exposure.
• Shovel bituminous concrete (asphalt) or other material into construction area.
• Assist in patching asphalt with hot and cold mix; excavate and fill trenches and ditches.
• Maintain a clean job site and secure tools and equipment daily to reduce hazards.
• Load and unload trucks and haul and hoist materials.
• Follow safety procedures and report issues to Foreman or Safety personnel.
