Job summary

Austin Industries General Laborer performs various labor-intensive tasks in an industrial setting under a supervisor. The role includes site cleanup, material handling, operating hand and power tools, and assisting skilled trades as needed.

Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 pounds, work in heat, and communicate effectively. A Valid Driver’s License is required; prior industrial experience (6+ months) is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: no minimum education requirements.
• Certification/License: Valid Driver’s License
• Experience: 6+ months experience in an industrial setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of labor-intensive tasks in an industrial setting under supervision.
• Shovel asphalt or other material into construction area.
• Assist in patching asphalt with hot and cold mix; excavate and fill trenches.
• Maintain a clean job site; secure area daily to prevent hazards.
• Load/unload trucks; handle materials.
• Follow safety and incident reporting procedures and notify foreman or safety personnel.
