Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a Laborer to perform labor-intensive tasks in an industrial setting under supervision. Responsibilities include operating hand and power tools, site cleanup, and assisting other crafts as needed.

Qualifications include a valid driver's license and TWIC Card, with 6+ months of industrial experience preferred. The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in hot conditions; OSHA-compliant safety practices are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Education: no minimum education requirements.
• Certification/License: A Valid Driver's License and TWIC Card.
• Experience: 6+ months of experience in an Industrial setting preferred.
• Experience: Previous janitorial or custodial experience in the industrial industry.
• Certification/License: Any Photo ID Acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor, including lifting 25+ lbs, bending, kneeling, climbing, and heat exposure.
• Shovel bituminous concrete (asphalt) or other material into construction area.
• Assist in patching asphalt with hot and cold mix. Excavate and fills trenches and ditches.
• Maintain a clean job site: pick up tools and secure the site daily to eliminate hazards.
• Load and unload trucks and haul and hoist materials.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed and report issues to Foreman or Safety personnel.
