Palm Beach State College seeks a Trade and Industry Lab Technician to provide operational support for multiple shop and lab facilities. You will perform preventative maintenance, manage inventory, and handle hazardous materials in a compliant, safe manner.

The role requires an associate degree with relevant experience (or a higher HS-equivalent) and strong knowledge of safety procedures, with potential remote or hybrid flexibility depending on campus needs.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher with related experience; or HS diploma with more years in the field.
• Excellent attention to detail and time management.

Responsibilities

• Controls and disposes of hazardous materials within a lab environment.
• Utilizes technical expertise to identify and purchase appropriate equipment, tools, supplies, and materials for the assigned programs.
• Monitors preventative maintenance schedules for equipment, machines, and facilities.
• Inspects equipment and machinery for safe operation.
• Responds to complex inquiries from all levels of employees or external sources regarding policies and procedures.
• Maintains and reviews inventory records.
