Job summary

Celanese is a global leader in chemistry, supporting a manufacturing facility in Bishop, Texas. This Laboratory Technician role analyzes raw materials, in-process streams, and finished products using routine lab methods and communicates results to production personnel.

You will work with laboratory equipment, ensure safety, maintain clean facilities, and support quality systems while collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Familiar with ISO9001, IATF 16949, ISO 17025 and Sample Manager.
• 2–5 years hands-on experience in polymer characterization.
• B.S. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related technical discipline.

Responsibilities

• Commitment to personal safety and the safety of coworkers.
• Work in industrial environment and follow established processes and standards.
• Use lab equipment to perform tests for viscosity, flow, color, particle size, density, and other physical tests.
• Maintain a clean and safe lab and meet delivery schedules.
• Provide prompt internal customer service.
• Participate in 5S activities and support the Quality Management System.
