Job summary

Qualifications

• Familiar with ISO9001, IATF 16949, ISO 17025 and Sample Manager.
• 2–5 years hands-on experience in polymer characterization.
• B.S. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related technical discipline.

Laboratory Technician

Overview:

This is a Laboratory Analyst position that supports a manufacturing facility located in Bishop Texas. The analysts are responsible for analyzing raw materials, in-process streams, and finished products by routine laboratory methods and communicating results with production personnel. The expectation is that analysts function competently in the lab areas with normal supervision and have a working knowledge of instruments, quality control and upkeep of equipment in thelaboratory.

Responsibilities:

• Commitment to personal safety and the safety of coworkers, including intervening when necessary.
• Eagerness to working in an industrial environment and capable of executing against established processes and standards
• Use laboratory equipment to perform tests for viscosity, flow, color, particle size, density, and other physical tests.
• Maintain a clean and safe lab working environment and ensure that the laboratory is efficient and meets delivery schedules
• Provide prompt and satisfactory customer service to internal customers.
• Participate in 5S activities and support the Quality Management System.

Qualifications:

Be familiar with ISO9001, IATF 16949, ISO 17025 and Sample Manager.

• Experience: Intermediate (2- 5 years) hands on experience working in polymer (Engineered materials) characterization.
• B.S. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related technical discipline, or relevant professional experience.
• Ability to prioritize, and proactively communicate status updates.
• Attention to detail and consistent follow through are needed to succeed in this role.
• Ability to operate and maintain laboratory instruments.
• Computer competencies, including Excel and Word.
• Capable of working well in a multi-disciplinary team environment with high degree of collaboration.
