Job summary

Voluntary Purchasing Groups, Inc. (VPG) in Bonham, TX is seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to perform electrical installations, maintenance and repairs in plant facilities. The role requires reading blueprints and schematics, and ability to troubleshoot various electrical controls and systems.

This position is full-time, in-person with a 10-hour shift Monday through Friday. Candidates should have a Journeyman license or be in the process of obtaining one, and be prepared to perform

Qualifications

• Must be a certified Journeyman, or in process of attaining license.
• Industrial or commercial electrician experience.
• Able to read blueprints and schematics.
• Familiar with PLCs and high voltage systems (nice to have).

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical installations, maintenance and repairs in plant facilities.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and analyze electrical systems.
• Read diagrams, manuals and engineering specs to service equipment.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Maintain equipment, parts and inventories and order supplies as needed.
