Job summary

STRIKE is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to install, maintain, repair, and design a wide range of electrical systems. Responsible for evaluating material requirements, reviewing specifications and drawings, and determining wiring layouts.

Reports to the I&E Superintendent and will supervise apprentices on various projects. The role requires reading blueprints, testing systems, and performing preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Journeyman or Master Electrician license required.
• Minimum 3+ years of industrial electrical installation, maintenance, and repair experience.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, architectural plans, electrical schematics, and code specifications to establish wiring layouts.
• Run conduit, install wiring devices, troubleshoot systems, and perform quality control testing.
• Troubleshoot, test, and repair emergency generators, power distribution systems, and other electrical systems to ensure proper operation.
• Perform upgrades and preventive maintenance on electrical control systems and equipment.
• Conduct tests, diagnose issues, isolate problems, replace damaged wiring, and perform conduit installation as needed.
• Supervise apprentices and general electricians; manage supplies, materials, and basic inventory.
• Train electricians and execute projects independently without direct supervision.
• Stay current on industry technologies, electrical services, and manufacturing processes.
